2nd Night of Chanukah – Second Shabbes

Mishpachah (Family) Shabbat | 6:00 PM

This informal, musical Shabbat service is recommended for families with young kids up to 3rd grade.

Chanukah Latke Dinner | 6:30 PM

The annual Chanukah Latke Dinner is coming up, and the CBI Confirmation Class wants to serve you potato pancakes! (With applesauce or sour cream, or maybe both if you are feeling adventurous.) Join the 10th graders for your favorite holiday treats, and support their upcoming travel to Israel and other Jewish experiences. The Confirmation parents will also serve tasty beverages and have some amazing olive oil and cured olives for sale. Note that prices will increase after Friday, December 1, and RSVPs for dinner will close on Tuesday, December 5.

Shabbat Evening Service | 7:30 PM | In-person and YouTube Livestream

6th Night of Chanukah – Chanukah Mitzvahkah

Tuesday, December 12 | 6:00 PM

Spread the light with an evening of celebration and community service. Chanukah Mitzvahkah is a B’nai Israel tradition where we focus on the importance of giving rather than receiving. It’s an opportunity for us to come together and do a mitzvah for some of the most vulnerable in our community.

Join us to light the menorah (don’t forget to bring yours!), sing some Chanukah songs, play a little dreidel, eat some pizza and treats, make care packages of toiletries and personal items (our goal this year is 500 bags of personal items), and collect food for the unhoused and food insecure (our goal is 500 units of various food items). Donations support the River City Food Bank in Sacramento.

Please complete the participation form to:

  • RSVP to attend and help assemble packages on December 12,
  • Pre-order a pizza dinner to enjoy at the event while supporting the Confirmation Class,
  • Make a monetary contribution towards the purchase of supplies, and/or
  • Select specific items to donate from the supply wish list.

Please order your pizza dinner by Friday, December 8.
