The Jewish Year at Congregation B'nai Israel
Please join us any time during the year to celebrate the holy days that make up the Jewish calendar!
At B'nai Israel, we celebrate in times of happiness and to ponder the deeper meanings of history – the Jewish year provides an opportunity for both.
Our High Holy Days services are enhanced by a choir that uplifts us with lofty melodies that convey the hopes and yearnings of a more serious time of the year. We gather at a nearby duck pond to toss our sins into the water with Tashlich on Rosh Hashanah.
We unroll the Torah scroll and dance to the sound of Israeli music at Simchat Torah. We light our giant menorah and learn about Jewish values at Chanukah. We present a creative spiel and read the megillah on Purim.
We make Judaism memorable.
