2021–2022 Membership Information

Thank you for your ongoing support of Congregation B'nai Israel over the last year; it has been profoundly impactful during the pandemic to help sustain our community. Your investment provided our community with strong clergy and staff leadership, uplifting services, stimulating programs for all ages, thriving Religious School and Youth Education programs, and a voice for tikkun olam, repairing the world.
Our Board remains committed to fiscal discipline, improving efficiencies of the organization, strengthening programming, and better care of the physical site. Membership contributions provide 65% of our annual budget, with the balance covered by fundraising, investment income, and fee-for-service revenues. To help meet these needs, the Board approved an increase for all membership levels under $4,000, including a 2% increase of other commitment levels, and an increase in Religious School and Kesher fees. To improve our efficiency, we have auto-renewed membership commitments and auto-enrolled students in Religious School. Your membership commitment and any applicable Religious School tuition will be posted to your account on July 1, 2021. We are asking returning Religious School families to complete the supplemental forms as soon as possible so we have the details we need to best support student learning. For those of you with children in 8th–12th grade, you can register them for our Kesher programs with the online registration form.
For those who can, please consider increasing your annual contribution HERE, which helps affirm CBI’s commitment to provide membership and a Jewish education to all. As a reminder, if you give at the full suggested contribution level, you may gift a free membership for one year to a family or individual who is not currently a member or affiliated with another congregation.
