Camp Shelanu is looking for dynamic and energetic staff for this summer!

Camp Shelanu is CBI’s on-site day camp for children entering kindergarten through 8th grade! Campers get the opportunity to explore nature, art, music, dance, drama, sports, cooking, and Jewish and Israeli culture. We welcome all children to an environment that fosters lasting friendships, strengthens Jewish identity, and increases pride in Jewish heritage.

We are the only Sacramento-area camp that brings an Israeli camp counselor for the entire summer. Teens looking for a summer job should consider being a counselor or CIT.

We offer day camp for K-5th grade, an adventure week for 6th-8th grade, and a CIT program for 9th-10th grade. Each session includes a field trip and a fun Friday theme.

Camp Hours: Monday - Friday • 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Before/After Camp Care available 7:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Questions about registration, staffing and anything else camp-related, please contact Keren Schatz at or 916-446-4861, Ext. 13.

Testimonials from Camp Families!

Today was Sam's last day of his weeks at Camp Shelanu. There was a little sadness in his face, but we quickly started talking about going to camp next year which perked him up. It is great when a parent can find a day camp for their child to enjoy during summer, but to find a Jewish day camp at their own congregation is even better. Sam says he loved it all, even cleaning up garbage which he originally announced he wouldn't do. A scavenger hunt and a mitzvah all in one. That was fun stuff! I want to thank the amazing staff that make Camp Shelanu the BEST!" - Peggy

"I just wanted to thank you for a wonderful session at Camp Shelanu. Both of my kids absolutely loved it. The fact that they both volunteered to participate in the talent show speaks volumes about how comfortable they were at camp. I was also thrilled to see them having so many of the wonderful experiences I remember from camp! We will definitely be back next year!" - Michelle
