Join us for Spring Conclave, NFTY Central West Region's 3rd event of the year on April 1st – April 2nd.

Congregation B'nai Israel is hosting NFTY CWR (Central West Region) on April 1st-April 2nd! CWR is hosting Spring Conclave, which is open to all 8th-12th graders in the region. At this event, teens will be able to experience more of NFTY, reconnect with friends from previous NFTY events, and use their voice to decide on the next Regional Board. All of these awesome programs and activities will be led by other teens. If you have questions about NFTY CWR, check out CWR's linktr.ee.

The price for this event is $100 per participant. This will include all food and activities for the event. Scholarships are available. Please contact Rachel Chancellor at kesher@bnais.com for information.

Please fill out this form for each teen you are registering.

Health and Safety

Housing

Participants will be staying at the homes of Congregation B'nai Israel families of teens attending the event.  We ask that each participant bring a sleeping bag, pillow, and anything else to make sleeping comfortable. The host families will be driving teens back and forth from their homes to Congregation B'nai Israel on Saturday evening and Sunday morning. Programming on Saturday and Sunday takes place on the campus of Congregation B'nai Israel.

Every year brings new opportunities to apply our values to day-to-day life in our Reform Jewish Youth Movement. For a few years now, many regions have affirmed and included transgender teens into our movement specifically as it pertains to all participants being housed by the gender with which they identify. We are proud of the powerful resolution adopted by our movement at the URJ Biennial, on the rights of transgender and gender non-conforming people, and we are also proud to help actualize this by being fully inclusive of teens in all stages of their journey.

Participants will find out where they will be sleeping at check-in. When we assign teens to housing, we take into consideration all requests and medical restrictions as long as they have been listed on the medical forms. We aim to house each participant where they feel most comfortable. If you made a housing request, every attempt was made to honor at least one of your requests. Please know that these are REQUESTS and are not guaranteed. If you did not make a housing request, you will be housed with other teens in your preferred gender space.

Please let me know how I can be helpful.

Transportation
Transportation to and from the event is up to participants, as NFTY cannot provide transportation to and from this event. If your teen is driving themselves to and from the event, please indicate that below. If your teen is being driven by someone else, please indicate that below. If your teen is being driven by another teen, please ensure the driver has had their license for at least one year.

Teens are newly able to drive themselves and their friends to NFTY events. Once at the event, teens who drove themselves will park their car at Congregation B'nai Israel and turn in their keys for the duration of the event. Parents of the driver and of the passengers will be required to sign a release form for teen drivers. Please indicate in registration if your teen will be driving themselves or is being driven by another teen. Please send a completed release and liability form to rchancellor@urj.org.

Please check in with Rachel Chancellor when you arrive. NFTY CWR can't wait to see you there!
