  •  The Jewish Federation of the Sacramento Region's Jewish Family Service has launched an Emergency Assistance Fund to help those in need during the COVID-19 pandemic. The fund is designed to provide for those in the Sacramento region who are experiencing unanticipated need due to the economic disruption triggered by the outbreak of the coronavirus. Recipients should be either Jewish, part of a Jewish family, or employed by a Jewish organization. Thanks to matching support from an anonymous donor and our partners at The Jewish Community Foundation of the West, as well as a significant gift from Women of B'nai Israel, JFS is able to offer qualified applicants assistance with basic needs, including prescription medication, childcare costs, housing and utility payments and transportation. Assistance is also available for those experiencing food insecurity through Federation's Virtual Kosher Food Pantry.

Interested applicants should call JFS Community Social Worker Rebecca Ray at 916-205-0688 or may call the Federation directly at 916-486-0906.
